The Wannado M-Lab

The latest addition to Wannado City is the Motorola-sponsored M-Lab, which consists of a realistic series of rooms that simulate a scientific laboratory. Within these rooms children are encouraged to work together on a technology-based game to solve a difficult problem.

Motorola is renowned for innovation in wireless and broadband communications and has 75 years of experience in that field. Thus the M-Lab uses the latest in technology - offering a complete sensory experience that includes stunning visuals, sound effects, vibrations and smells.

The M-Lab was designed in collaboration with Motorola and Gensler, which is a self-proclaimed “global design, planning and strategic consulting firm,” and was opened in June of this year. It aims to encourage children aged between 8-12 to discover a career in innovation while touching upon science and technology in a high-tech, highly immersive environment.

The design further imitates a real-world innovation cycle which incorporates all those big adult words such as "hypothesis generation", "testing", "feedback interpretation", "reformulation", and "teamwork" to achieve a desired outcome. Their vision is to empower kids through the creation of reality-based, interactive properties that entertain and educate.
